Mr Arvinte came to see me and basically saved my life. He explained everything in detail of the damage done to my leg and hip and asked me if I wanted the operation to fix it and he explained in detail what he could do to fix it, also explaining that he may have to fix the femure and hip using a pin and screw etc. depending on the damage done. I can now walk again, without pain, I am very grateful to Mr Arvinte, he is very caring, considerate and a great Surgeon.

Mr Arvinte rebuilt my hip and femur after a bad fall forced the lower part of my previous hip replacement down into my femur, splitting the bone. Thanks to his expertise I should be able to walk normally again after recovery. Both he, his team and all the staff at Bedford Hospital Reginald Hart ward were fantastic, a great credit to the NHS.

My Husband and I were very pleased to see Mr Dan Arvinte and have my left knee replacement 8th September 2021. We have seen him twice since and the new knee appears to be in good order although my recovery has been limited to seated exercises because I have pronation and flat footedness in both feet and cannot stand or walk properly. Mr Arvinte has said he would refer us to a foot specialist and we would be grateful if he is able to do this so I don't that damage my new knee.

He is most caring in his dedication to post operative visits. His decision making is decisive and his action prompt. I have been under the care of Mr. Arvinte for two years and I can whole heartedly confirm that the care and attention to detail that he offers is amazing. Prior to this I had seen various consultants for for a long standing condition that affects my hips and sacral joints, however I often felt that my symptoms were being overlooked and I became increasingly depressed because the pain was limiting my daily activity. Mr. Arvinte is very thorough when dealing with my case, he listens to all of my concerns, takes the time to answer all of my questions and breaks things down in order for me to understand more about my arthritis. Mr. Arvinte is approachable and kind and as a patient you genuinely get a clear indication that he cares about you and your individual case. I felt that my problem received full attention from an experienced and skilled surgeon. After the hip operation, despite delays caused by COVID, I was contacted by ‘phone and later received not one but two appointments to review my recovery. I did not expect so much, and such thorough, post- operation attention. Living through recovery was inevitably an amazing experience. This time the operation was a ‘Revision’ and I tried to describe how later stages felt but, with limited medical understanding, I might have seemed to be complaining. That certainly was not so. My recovery has been excellent: I am delighted that my mobility is so much improved, and therefore my life is too. I am able to do a full day’s work with only the limits of old age, and that is down to the best medical care it is possible to receive.

Takes great care to explain the problem, what is going to happen, with where appropriate reasons for the choices. For example when I was having my operation, the anaesthetic originally to be given was an epidural. Mr Arvinte explained that it would have to be a general anaesthetic due to the length of operation plus an element of not knowing exactly the detail to be investigated.

Dr Arvinte, Was very kind and compassionate, listened to me at the first consultation and went through everything in detail about my total hip replacement operation so I would understand the whole procedure and process in language that you can understand. When my surgery date arrived, Dr Arvinte remembered who I was and went through everything again in detail. He gave me 100% confidence before surgery and once I was in recovery the care and attention from his team was excellent. The information given on hospital discharge was easy to understand and everything was explained extremely well. My first seven weeks have gone very well and the follow up with physio appointments and my return consultation visit to see Dr Arvinte could not have gone better. If in the future I require my second hip replacing then I would use Dr Arvinte again.

I had a hip replacement by Mr Arvinte 6 months ago. I felt the surgery was wonderful as I had hardly any pain nor bruising or swelling which I had expected. I would like to thank Mr Arvinte for replacing my right hip on 04/11/ 2020. I'm 71 year old male who had always been active but over the last 3 or more years have had severe pain when walking any distance. I would like to say that Mr Arvinte and his staff were very informative, caring, and very professional . After the operation the pain management was superb infact I had little pain at all . After five weeks I am now walking with no assistance at all and manage the stairs without using the hand rail. Each day the hip seems to improve and feels stronger.
